Sydenhams Timber Engineering, based from Newport (IOW) and Wickham, are highly experienced in the design, manufacture, supply and erecting of Timber Frame buildings.

Starting on the Isle of Wight in the year 2000 along with the Builders Merchants at the time. Sydenhams Timber Engineering have gone from strength to strength pushing timber frame design limits for over 20 years.

Using our own extensive in-house Design Team with collectively over 200 years of experience, we can offer help and advice on projects of any size and complexity. We take pride in delivering Timber Frame solutions that meet the most challenging of designs and construction criteria. We use the latest design software on the Autodesk Revit Platform and produce advanced 3D BIM models which can be issued digitally and even allow for the use of VR.

Our extensive portfolio ranges from simple extensions through to multi-storey blocks of flats, Hotels and large school projects. With a client base including Architects, Self-Builders, Developers, Local Authorities, Housing Associations and the Public and Private sector chains.

Combining both the latest technology and tried and tested methods of fabrication CE Marking certified by TRADA, our Timber Frame Panels with Frame Mark with our strict ISO9001 quality control procedures, which meets STA Assure Gold Standard, we can ensure that the product being received is amongst the best in the industry.

In addition to the Timber Frame, we are able to provide a standalone service for trussed rafter, I-Beam (Wickham only) and metal web joist design/manufacture at competitive prices. As well as in house SAP energy assessments, overheating calculations and independently assessed Psi-Value Junction modelling.

Sydenhams Timber Engineering are members of both TRADA and the STA with Assure Gold Certificates. We always provide a full set of structural calculations and can issue NHBC HB353B certificates for design work if required. We can also issue any other information required by Regulatory Authorities.
