Sydenhams for European Redwood and Whitewood

From 1 piece to 1000 pieces

At Sydenhams we can supply an extensive range of Joinery sizes from our 2 main milling facilities (at Poole and Wickham Depots), the timber is selected into grades by the quality of each piece and then packaged in the country of origin. Most Joinery comes from Scandinavia, with a selected range from Europe.

Sydenhams put all its efforts towards sourcing its Joinery from well-managed forests, which are certified by F.S.C. and P.E.F.C.

MACHINED GOODS
All of the grades listed below can be machined or moulded to our stock profiles (see mouldings chart), but can also be machined to your required profiles upon request.

UNSORTED JOINERY
This is the best quality Redwood Joinery, where the lower grades have been removed (sorted). Unsorted Joinery is mainly used in the manufacture of doors, windows, stairs, but can also be used for top quality machined products, such as Skirtings, Architraves, Dado rails to name but a few. 
Centre Free Green Split Joinery cuts out the centre of the tree before Kilning thus reducing defects even further for specialist trades. 

Whitewood is imported for Door Linings and in wider sections for Stairs. At Sydenhams, upon request, we can also supply specialist Door lining sizes (with or without Door Stops) already Primed.

5TH GRADE REDWOOD
This is the next grade, a more multi purpose grade, which can be used for Prepared timber (Planed) and general Mouldings such as Cladding, Flooring, Skirting, Architraves and many others (see moulding chart).

6TH GRADE REDWOOD
The lowest grade that Sydenhams import which has larger knots and more defects. It is used for packing cases, can be used for some claddings, and furniture manufacture where the defects add to the features of the furniture.
