Environmental Purchasing Commitment

Sydenhams have been keen to promote their environmental commitment for many years, buying materials from recognised agents and suppliers who ensure the safe management of their forests, and a programme of re-forestation

To this end Sydenhams source an ever increasing % of timber and timber based products from suppliers who demonstrate their commitment by running a C.O.C. (chain of custody) system. Either, F.S.C. (Forest Stewardship Council) or, P.E.F.C. (Programme For The Endorsement Of Forest Certification), which amongst other things, promote sustainable and well managed forests, traceability of the product from the forest to the end user, while prohibiting the conversion of forests to other habitats.
